Faye Kilday

I am a mixed media artist from New Zealand and I create my artwork under my business name Woven Fairy. I use needle felting to create my colourful wool paintings. I make monoprints on my gel plate. And I also write poetry and take photos. I create zines (mini books) which combine my art and writing and sell them on my ko-fi website at www.ko-fi.com/wovenfairy . I adore colour as can be seen in many of my artworks. Working with colour makes me happy and keeps me inspired. The natural world inspires my art a lot as it's where I can be myself. As a young child I was mostly nonverbal and very shy. Creativity was my way to escape from the world and also to communicate with the world. Many years later, as an adult, I was diagnosed with Autism...
